Food is a central part of ensuring any child gets a proper education. The education system in Uganda works in such a way that the nursery and lower primary children have a half day learning and those above learn through day leaving at about 5:00pm weekdays. A hot meal is therefore an integral part of the day and all the children look forward to this as many rural families may struggle to get these meals at home.
